Mission Statement

La Gloria I.S.D. is committed to providing a quality education for all students in a safe and secure culture of mutual respect. We strive to successfully meet each student’s fullest potential through nurturing relationships and providing thoughtful, rigorous, and individualized instruction.

Vision Statement

La Gloria ISD students will reach their fullest academic, social, and character potential to be kind and respectful leaders who will excel at their next level of education and in life.

History

On September 1, 1978, La Gloria Common School District No. 21 in Jim Wells County automatically became La Gloria Independent School District No. 906 in Jim Wells County.

In 1997, Library and Computer Learning Center rooms were added (first picture, courtesy of Ms. Ana Alvarado, depicts the building as it was being constructed; second picture shows as seen today, which includes a third room--Room #12, completed by 1999 that up until 2005 was used as an Early Childhood Classroom--and since March 2007 has been used as the 3rd Grade Classroom)

Finally, a Multi-Purpose Room (Gymnasium) was finalized in 2002 (the first image below, courtesy of Ms. Ana Alvarado, depicts the entire school--past and present administration, staff, and students--at the Groundbreaking Ceremonies circa 2001; the second image shows the Gym as it appears today)
